Previous Exhibitions

Here are photographs of my work on display at the 'Tate Craven' Exhibition held at South Craven School in 2010. The first example shows a self-portrait painted in acrylic and a portrait of my mum, also in acrylic, both on MDF board. These pieces are rich in colour and pattern as I researched the work of Gustav Klimt to respnd to. The second examples are photographs and sketches incorporated together to create pieces which explore facial features, expressions and emotions. These were drawn using pencil as it was an appropriate material to develop my use of line and tone. The final photograph is an acrylic painting on board which focuses on facial expression and the elderly. I explored the use of tone, texture and line to create a realistic, stirking piece. These are all examples of work submitted for my Art and Design A Level.
